More house stuff!

My moms birthday was in April and we had her come over for dinner and cake. I made a spice cake with cream cheese frosting. Instead of using the eggs and oil I put a can of pumpkin in. Which made it less calories and very yummy! Lucy decorated it using food color pens. They would have been easier on a frosting that was a little stiffer but it still was fun and came out very colorful!

This is what our yard looked like when we first moved in minus that tree (which is dead now by the way)

Its still a work in progress but its getting better. Who ever thought Lava rock was a great idea to put into gardens was crazy! Me and Tyler spent like 3 days sifting out all the lava rock from the dirt. I've always wanted a yard that looked like the secret garden. So that's my goal!

Our grass is still pretty much weeds but it's green! We are working on that!

This is another find from Goodwill. It was missing a bunch of handles but I loved them! It originally had 2 handles on each drawer my dad patched the holes and put one handle on each drawer and it turned out perfect!! I'll post more pictures of Lucy's room when its all done.

Projects and a bee sting

I had just gotten home from Costco and I was trying to get things put away in the garage and all of a sudden Carter screams and grabs his head and falls to the ground crying! I thought maybe his ear drum had popped or something! I ran to him to pick him up and I noticed a dead bee on the ground next to him then I saw the stinger on his finger. He cried for a whole hour off and on. It's been over a week since it happened and this is what it looks like still. Its really blurry sorry!.

My dad made the bench below!!

I found these end tables and coffee table at an antique store down town. They were pretty beat up but they were made really well so I knew I (with the help of my dad) could fix them. they started out all wood. I stripped them and then my dad painted and distressed them. They came out awesome I think.

I found this chandelier at Good will for $10 it was a weird rusty color. I brought it home and spray painted it and it looks brand new.

Update on the Kitchen~ It's been textured and painted

and now it looks like this. The chalk board was a find at the same antique store down town.

Our Toilet upstairs overflowed and came through the ceiling into the downstairs bathroom that we were going to redo any way. here are some before and afters.

We started taking off the wallpaper and then the flood happened

They had to take out the ceiling and dry it out with fans and heat for like a week. The flood really wasn't that bad but the guy that came and ripped everything out apparently thought it was. Or he was just trying to get more money from the insurance.

For Thanksgiving we Headed up to Utah to visit Melody.

We Stopped in Las Vegas and Stayed with Tyler's Sister Nikki and family.

The next day we stopped in St. George and visited with Grandma for a couple hours. She made us some yummy lunch and gave the kids some presents.

We made it to Lehi Utah just in time for Thanksgiving.

We visited Gardner Village.

We were able to stay long enough to see this cutie!

We headed home after a week of fun in Utah. We did a lot more stuff but these were all the pictures from Tyler's I-phone.
I made this for Brooklyn for Christmas. I was going to make one for Lucy too but I decided I will never make one again!

Santa came and brought tons of toys!

But first we had Christmas Eve at My Aunt and Uncles house where Carter was a Shepherd.

The best news ever! Lucy is POTTY TRAINED!! She has been potty trained for about a month now and is doing awesome!

Carter is practicing for Playgirl! He is so sweet and cute. He is a little too attached to mommy and daddy. He is happy as long as he is eating or if we are out doing something any other time....not so much......

We went to the fair a couple times this year and took these pictures in the photo booths.

We got Lucy a bounce house for her party. If anyone is having a party for a three year old this is a must have!! They were entertained the whole time!

My dad has been coming over and helping Tyler re do the sprinklers. Then Tylers dad came over and rototilled the front yard. It looks a lot better! We are just waiting till the gound settles to plant seed.

We demoed the down stairs bathroom. We found out that our house used to be a model home in the early 90's and they put wall paper directly on top of the dry wall then the other people that lived in our house before us painted a couple of time on top of that. So now we have to strip the layers and plaster.

Lucy had her first day of pre-school. I did her hair like this. I think it turned out pretty good for never doing it before. Plus I just recently learned how to french braid.

We are doing a little pre-school with 5 other kids from church. Every 5th week I will have all the kids at my house to teach.

Lucy starts preschool on Tuesday and we needed to get a couple of supplies. We were at Marshalls looking at some clothes and a mom and her daughter and son walked by us. I noticed that the boy kind of stunk but I just kept looking at the clothes. Then I looked over at Lucy and she had a weird face.

M: Whats wrong Lucy?

L: That boy is stinky!

I didn't think that she noticed things that smelled! I guess this proves she really is our daughter!

We moved into our new house so that's my excuse for not blogging. Any way Carter is almost 8 months now and last night was his first time sleeping without waking up every three hours. I painted his room blue and I read that babies sleep better in blue rooms. I'm sure that's not why he slept but it's going to be my excuse for all the hard work that I did painting on our wonderful textured walls (that's sarcastic! Textured walls are horrible and very hard to paint).

Lucy is almost 3 and is even more sassy than ever! She doesn't like to share with other kids but she is usually good about letting Carter play with her stuff. Yesterday, the At&T guy was here fixing our computer and he walked into our office where Lucy had left a game spread out on the floor. Lucy says hey don't step on my stuff (imagine that with attitude head bobbing and hand motions) I was kinda shocked and embarrassed. What do you say to that?! Hopefully she will be starting preschool soon and then maybe she will learn some social skills that don't require bossing other people around.

We blessed Carter last Sunday. We waited till everyone could be here. That means that Carter was two months old and extra Large. I wasn't sure if the guys in the circle would be able to hold him through the whole blessing. At his two month appointment he weighted 13.10 and 23 in. long. The Dr. said he was as big as a 4 or 5 month old. Since Tyler's whole family was here we took the opportunity to go to Disney land. We also had David take pictures of Brooklyn and Lucy. Thanks David!

Baby Carter

I know it's been forever but I hate to blog. This blog took me four hours to do so you better enjoy it. Haha. I love to hear peoples birthing stories I hope you do to cause here is mine!
By December 1st I swore that I was going to have him any day. I had contractions all the time I was dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced not to mention the fact that I was huge! Well, I past my due date which was December 31st. My Doctor had me come in on January 5th for an ultra sound and stress test. Carter was measuring over 9lbs and was turned face up. I thought oh great this is going to hurt! He sent us to the hospital to have them monitor my contractions. When I got there they checked me and I was dilated to a 5-6 and was having regular contractions. My contractions really never hurt me. I was having the same type of contractions for the past month. They usually don't give an epidural till your dilated to a 3 so since I was almost a 6 they gave me an epidural and then started me on pitocin. I didn't feel pain the entire time. At around 1:30am I felt my water brake and that I needed to push. The Doctor came in I pushed like 3 times and he was out. 8.08lbs 19in long. He had trouble keeping his temperature up so he had to go to the NICU that night to be under a heat lamp but other than that he was perfectly healthy. The pictures are out of order (one of the reasons this has taken me four hrs) but at least I did a blog!

My little Lu is two! She is 31 pounds 95% and 35in tall 85%. I blew up a bunch of balloons for her to wake up to in the morning. Actually Tyler and Jennifer blew the balloons up. I tried but my belly felt like it was going to pop every time I did one. We threw a little birthday party for her at Lindsey and Davids house.

I made Lucy a monkey cake. The mold that I used was supposed to be a bear so the whole time I was worried about it looking like a bear plus Tyler and Jennifer's husband Justin both thought it looked like a bear. So after it was finished (the night before Lucy's birthday) I held it up to show Lucy and asked her what it was. She ran over to it with excitement and yelled out a monkey cake! She knew what it was!

I was surprised at how excited she was to open presents. She loved every moment of it!

Everyone was so generous and Lucy ended up with lots of gifts! To many for a two year old.

I guess I have a lot to catch up on and what better way to do it than with pictures! In no particular order because that would take forever.

Elyse spent the night and Lucy would not let her out of her sight!

I had a birthday! 25!! My mom made the best double chocolate cake I have ever had! I pretty much ate the whole thing by my self.

We went to dinner with my friends! I didn't think about what they do to you in a Mexican restaurant for your birthday! It was the most embarrassing thing ever especially because as they were singing to me they added a sombrero and shoved flan in my mouth which by the way was delicious!

Lucy has been sleeping in a big girl bed for a couple months now. Most of the time she gets in her bed and doesn't get out till she wakes up but occasionally she gets up and plays until I hear her and tell her to get back in bed. She got up one afternoon and I found her sitting in front of the craft drawers coloring on herself with markers.

Notice the marks under her nose. The markers that she was using were smelly markers.

We made cookies and Lucy licked the beater for the first time.

We visited Murry family farms with my parents a couple weekends ago.

Me and Tyler celebrated our 3rd anniversary in Santa Barbara.

Elyse had another dance recital and she was so cute and funny. Lucy loves anything that has to do with Elyse.

I painted Lucy's toes with sparkles to match my ROCK STAR toes. If anyone talks to Lucy in a store or something she has to show them her nails.

We dressed Lucy in the monkey costume we bought her for Halloween. She didn't like it and wanted it off so we will probably dress her in something girlie instead.

This video took like an hour to down load! So annoying! Elyse gave this dress to Lucy. It was Elyse's dace recital dress from last year. Now every time Lucy sees it she wants to put it on and dance!

dr: The results from the ultra sound say that your not quite as far along as we thought. So your new due date is December 30th. (In a hesitant voice)
Me: Oh okay cool
Dr: Your okay with that?
Me: Yea! He could be the first baby of the year!
Dr: They put you on Tv you know?
Me: I know!
Dr: after giving birth?
Me: Yea! I dont care.
Dr: haha
So my due date is pushed back which is fine. Lucy came a week early so Im kinda thinking the same thing could happen making him a Christmas baby. Oh well what can you do.
Im over at my moms house which means I dont have any pictures to put on here but if you look at my friend Jennifers page she put up some cute videos of Lucy and Annie.

I'm sure most of you know by now that we are expecting a baby boy in December. Im not exactly sure how far along I am because last time I went in to the doctor he said that my uterus felt small so I should find out Wednesday morning what my due date actually is. Right now My due date is December 16th so we will see if that changes. In the beginning pretty much everything made me sick so to even think about doing a blog made me made me gag. Im doing so much better now. Dont get your hopes up about new blogs all the time im not promising anything!
Lucy is doing great! She is soooo smart! She sings and dances, plays dolls and house, she loves to do her nails and make up, and she is talking like crazy. She is still the clumsiest person I know. If there is a wide open area that she is running in, she some how finds either something to trip over or a wall to run into. She is so funny and has such an attitude.
I will update more with pictures after my doctors appointment.

Florida

We are back!! We got back from Florida on Wednesday night after all day flying. A couple things that I realized on our way home; I loathe flying, I hate traveling and so dose Lucy, and I Love Bakersfield! Florida was awesome and gorgeous and so fun but every night I found myself thinking about how awful it was going to be to fly home. Not because I didn't want to leave but because I didn't want to go on another airplane. Lucy was actually really good on the flights especially compared to the other kids on the plane. She slept a lot of the way home (thank goodness) While I freaked out from all the turbulence. As soon as we landed in Burbank I vowed to never fly again. Heres a couple of pictures of things we did in Florida.

We went to the Zoo and fed the fish.

This alligator was separated from the rest because it was missing both its back legs. When we were trying to feed the fish and turtles the alligator would eat the food.

We hung out at the beach.

We went on the air boats in the everglades were we saw two alligators and 3 manta rays. In Florida they have pelicans instead of seagulls. The pelicans were not scared of humans at all as you can see they even landed on our boat.

We went to Disneyland again. We had the twofer tickets so this time we went to California Adventure with Tyler's parents. Lucy liked this park much better. There are no tunnel rides and scary Hefalumps dancing plus I think she kind of got used to everything and she knew that nothing could hurt her. Don't mind the horrible pictures there was water in the lens of the camera needless to say its in the shop now and we might not have it in time for Florida. At about four o'clock Tyler's dad had an idea! They have season tickets so they could go to both parks and he wanted to go over to Disneyland. He sent Tyler out to ask people leaving the park if they were done with there tickets. He got tickets and we got stamps on our hand on the way out of California adventure then walked over to Disneyland and went right in! I personally would never do or think about doing anything like this. I was scared out of my mind! I still feel really dishonest but what can you do right!

There was a play house Disney show that had bubbles and confetti. Lucy loved it.

It was ridiculously hot there! At one point I thought I was going to die of heat stroke. I drank like 5 bottles of water within a couple hours and I was still so thirsty!

none of these pictures show Lucy smiling but she did I promise. As soon as she sees a camera she shuts down.

This ride was kind of like the tea cup ride. (which I never go on) I hate spinning things ! I thought that it wouldn't be that bad but I ended up getting thrown forward and super dizzy. Lucy didn't really react to it so I don't know if thats because she was so disoriented from the spinning or she just didn't really care.

There were some questions on why we were going to Florida. We are going just for fun, a vacation with my family. My Grandparents have a condo on the beach and my sister works for Jet blue so we thought why not! I think I found the answer to my problem, Dramamine!! Who doesn't fall asleep with Dramamine? Any way here are some pictures!

Tyler's sister Nikki had her baby! And then a week later came to Bakersfield to visit. I don't know about the other moms out there but I still couldn't sit down a week after giving birth let alone drive 5 hours! She is a trouper thats for sure! Baby Audrey is sooooo cute with tons of black hair. This was the only picture we got so try not to stare at the cleavage when your looking at how adorable she is! Tyler gave me a hard time about saying that but I knew that Jennifer would bring it up.

Then after down loading the pictures off our camera I found a bunch of self portraits! Who dose this? Anyone else have an obsession with themselves? Then people add to it! example: He was shopping in Abercrombie and the manager asked if he wanted a job then at dinner the other night the waitress called him model material. I said please don't tell him that his head might explode!

Its been pretty hot here so we went over to Jennifer's house for a little pool party.

Florida

We are going to Florida in two weeks! Its exciting yet so scary. I think that if it was just me and Tyler I wouldn't be so nervous to fly but knowing that I will have Lucy and if anything happens on the plane I cant protect her. Also its a five hour flight to New York and then a three hour flight to Florida. What am I going to do with Lucy? Shes not old enough to color and watch a movie the whole way through. She is so stubborn that she wont go to sleep. So I was thinking about drugging her. The other day I gave her some benadryl to see what it would do. It didn't do what it said it would do. She ran around the house talking in her language super fast! Ive never seen her that hyper. I don't want to give her medicine if she doesn't need it but I don't know what else to do.

Easter

We had a pretty laid back Easter. We didn't have a fancy dinner with extended family so we didn't have to dress up and be all uncomfortable. We ate over at my parents house. Then headed to Tyler's parents for an Easter egg hunt. I'd take Easter over Thanksgiving any day. I hate how all the holidays are so crazy and hectic. This Easter was perfect!

Lucy got a bunch of little things including a little doll that has a potty, bottles, toys, ect. It keeps her busy for hours.

Lucy's Nana gave Lucy a bigger doll that makes noises. Lucy isn't quite sure about it yet.

Lucy did so good finding the eggs then putting them in the basket.

Disneyland!

We went to Disneyland last week with my parents. Lucy barely cracked a smile the whole time. She cried on the rides with an exception to the story book ride. She did get a little nervous as we started to enter the whales mouth. It is kind of scary!

She loved the petting zoo! It was one of the only things that made her smile.

She cried on Winnie the Poo. This was taken after the ride.

Lucy likes to play with Annnie. She pushes her in her stroller, she tells everyone to shhhh when Annie is sleeping, and she even helps take her diaper off when no ones looking. Since I unknowingly taught Lucy how to take off a diaper when we were playing with her dolls she now will take her own diaper off and then proceed to poop on the floor. We bought her a potty thinking that maybe the free sensation makes her go to the bathroom, since she seems to go when ever her diaper is off, but she has yet to actually go in the potty.

We have realized that Lucy wants nothing to do with the camera. I don't know if its the lack of pictures that I take or the fact that shes just like me and hates her picture taken. Annie is a pro!

These are the only pictures that Lucy is kinda of looking at the camera but of course she isn't smiling.
Then on another day Jennifer taught Lucy how to say Cheese!!

Sleep Over!

Lucy's cousin Elyse got to sleep over on Sunday. Lucy doesn't really appreciate nail painting and yummy pancake breakfasts so the sleep over was probably more fun for me. I love having Elyse over and we want her to come back very soon.

They had a bath before bed time.

We made a big bed on the floor and watched movies and ate popcorn. Lucy woke up at about eight and Elyse was still asleep. Lucy just sat by her side for a while till I guess she couldn't wait any longer and then sat on Elyse. I made pancakes with strawberries. Then we got ready and walked over to the park and played for a while.

We went out to dinner with Lindsey and David and while we were waiting we noticed the sky was really cool.

I got these sun glasses at the dollar spot in Target. I love them and so dose Lucy she wears them all time. The only problem is that now she wears headbands like this.

WE GOT A NEW CAR! Tyler was on his way home from work and he saw this 2004 Chrysler Pacifica fully loaded for way cheap! We needed a car that would fit more than three people and a stroller in case of more kids. (No Stacie I'm not pregnant)

Some things I love about my new car
1.Leather seats and third row
2.6 disk DVD player and 6 disk CD player
3.Heated seats (I never realized how cold my bum was)
4.Sun roof
5.GPS/Navigation system
6.Automatic lift gate (it opens and closes by its self!)

We traded in my 1997 Honda civic and they gave us more money than they should have for it. It ran great and was so fast but there was a lot of little things wrong with it.
Some things I wont miss about my Civic.
1.How I had to climb into the back seat to put Lucy in the car.
2.The smell. It had a weird smell that made me gag every time I got in it when I was pregnant.
3.There was no power anything steering windows locks
4.Stick shift
5.every time it rained it would hydro plane because it was so low I guess
6.worrying about it getting broken into all the time. Its been broken into twice.

We like to have dance parties at our house. Its basically me and Tyler making Lucy do weird things. Its way fun and it helps to get all your frustrations out by jumping around its good exercise too. I find as I get older and I don't know if its necessarily that, or the fact that I haven't danced since the institute dances a couple of years ago, but I cant seem to get my groove. I cant stay on the beat and I find my self snapping and awkwardly moving back and forth. So then I think, I need to practice and the more I practice the more I realize that I should NOT dance anymore. Now that I've established how awkward and uncool I am, here is a video of how cool my daughter is.

We got a new camera and I love it by the way. These are some of the pictures we took with it. We weren't trying to do a photo shoot or anything so theres nothing fancy or creative just some pictures of Lu.

My mom, Lucy, and I went to look at some model homes today that were amazing. It made me realize how awesome it would be to have a house but it also made me realize that I needed to do something with my hair. What! Yes my hair. The lady at the model homes thought that my mom was Lucy mom which is a good complement for her but when she told the lady that she was mine I could tell she kind of disapproved as If I was like 17 or something. Then we went to McDonald's for lunch. A bunch of High school kids were there and I then realized that I have had the same hair style for forever. Since we have three wards in our building for church its our turn to go at 12:30pm. Right in the middle of nap time so by the end of sacrament meeting the first hour Lucy is done! We usually end up letting her wonder around to all the different families. Yes, I know it sounds very irresponsible but If shes tired she wont let you control her besides I'm pretty sure that most of the families like having her come sit by them. By the second hour its impossible to be in class so I ended up walking around the building with her. It was kind of pointless to be at church! She is only 16 months not old enough to be nursery. I knew that she would do awesome in nursery even without a nap, theres toys, room to run, snacks, and music. Two weeks ago the primary chorister was holding her and brought her in nursery and the teachers in there said she was fine to stay woohoo!! So last week Tyler went in to check on her and while he was in there a little boy bit her cheek! He didn't break the skin but it was all swollen. This is the second time a little boy has bit her cheek! I guess they just can resist!

For Christmas both our families were here so it was a bit hectic, but fun.

Lucy got tons of present but the thing that kept her busy all morning was a card that Stacie had given to me. Lucy sat in her chair, pointed to the words, and spoke in her language as if she was reading.

This picture was taken before she got a hold of the card when she was enjoying actual toys. We gave her the cabbage patch doll for her birthday and we never took it out of the box so I wrapped it up and gave it to her for Christmas.

If you haven't noticed, all the grand kids had matching pajamas thanks to Grandma Dayna.

Ellen!

Even with all the commotion of Lucy being sick me and Tyler were able to go to the Ellen show on Tuesday. The show actually aired on Wednesday. My mom watched Lucy while we were gone. It was raining and freezing we had to be there at 1:00 and didn't get to go inside till 3:30. Once we got inside it was awesome. They sat us right in the aisle. Ive seen the show enough to know that when Ellen is dancing she makes her way through the middle aisle and ends up on the other side right next to where I was sitting. I really didn't want to be on camera but I knew it was inevitable. There was a camera man right on me the entire time so I knew at some point I would be on TV but I didn't realize how many times. They did a close up on me for my reaction of the little girl singing (embarrassing). Then through out the entire show they kept flashing back to our area.

We were the 10th day of Christmas with Wolfgang Puck. He gave us some cookies from his restaurant. There was a photographer named Andrew Zuckerman on the show we got his book called Creature with a bunch of pictures that he has taken of animals. We got a year subscription to net flicks, a set of Ralph Lauren organic cotton sheets worth $700. Finally she gave us a sleep number bed worth $2500. Since me and Tyler were both there we got double of everything. Ironically we just got a new bed so know we have 3 king size beds! We think we will just keep one of the sleep number beds and sell the other two.

Lucy was really sick this weekend. I'll fill you in on the details. Lucy was really winy and clingy on Monday and Tuesday then on Wednesday she had a really high fever that I couldn't get to go down. She woke up on Thursday with the fever and I could tell she was having a hard time breathing and she wouldn't eat or drink. I called the doctor and went in at about 2:30. The Doctor looked puzzled as to what she had. He said that she had RSV which doesn't really have a cure because its a virus. Lucy had RSV almost a year ago and baby's usually tend to get it only once but they can get a different strain of it again. It usually only occurs in Children under two. I went home and she took a nap. When she woke up I could tell she was a lot worse. Every time I gave her medicine to get her temp down and try to make her feel better I could hear the air in her stomach from the way she was breathing. Tyler came home and we took her to the emergency room. I sat in the room with her for a half hour with her crying the whole time. Lucy doesn't cry unless there is something really wrong so I knew that this wasn't normal. I could hear the doctor talking with the nurses out in the hall just chatting about stuff. The doctor came in and checked her for a minute and said oh she just has a cold. WHAT! Lucy had colds before and this was not a cold but she was the doctor so I listened. We went home and we were up all night with Lucy. Friday morning Lucy was still horrible. Tyler's mom came over for a while and helped me because I was supposed to go to LA to do hair and make up for a wedding I was debating whether or not to go but while Dayna was there Lucy seemed to be a little better. I left at 2:00 to go down to LA. Dayna came back over after work and noticed that Lucy seemed to be giving up. She still couldn't breathe she had a high temperature she still hadn't eaten or drunken anything. They rushed her to the emergency room. She got brought back right away her oxygen level was a 71% Its supposed to be at 100% with in 10 seconds there were six nurses around her with the doctor (a different doctor) yelling out orders. Lucy ended up having pneumonia in both lungs, she was severely dehydrated and had RSV. They sent for an ambulance to take her to Maderas children's hospital where we spent 4 days. Now we are home and Lucy is on antibiotics and an inhaler. Thank you everyone for the prayers and support. We are so grateful to our mothers for helping us through this whole thing and we are soooo glad its over!!

Stacie's blog inspired me to blog about how Awesome our nephew Christian is! Christian is the smartest, cutest, funniest, eight year old that I know! He beats me all the time in spelling competitions that we have. Who knew that pterodactyl had a silent letter. When Christian was little he always wanted to sit on my lap where ever we were. To know that if I were to marry Tyler that I would have such an awesome nephew really sealed the deal!

Christian has such a testimony of the church and has no doubt about being baptised. He is a good example to everyone. I'm glad that Lucy gets to grow up with a cousin that is such a good influence.

I'm so impressed how unselfish he is. He likes to be the center of attention but will always step aside to let his sister Elyse have the spot light.

Ive been lurking the Ellen Degeneres web site for weeks now waiting for the 12 days of Christmas tickets to go up for grabs. I found out that the tickets for the month of December would appear on the website this morning at 9:00. I got on the website at 8:00am and waited. I am the biggest fan of that show. I literally plan my day around being home by 4:00 so I can watch it. Its such a release. It makes me laugh out loud and not many things make me laugh out loud. Even Lucy loves the show. Anyway, I signed up for tickets on the 18th. It will only allow you to sign up for tickets one time per computer. It knows some how! Cause Ive tried in the past and it totally erases any requests that you have made. So I called Tyler at work and told him to sign up under his name on a computer and then go to other computers through out the office and sign up using his mom and dads name (the last name has to match on your ID when you go sign in at the show). Then I called David Bunting to sign up Lindsey (so she can take me). He has gotten tickets before so I thought maybe he was lucky. Even though Ive signed up for tickets it doesn't guarantee that you get them. Someone from the show is supposed to call you to confirm the tickets. I am sooo anxious! I just want to know!

Lucy just started nodding her head when you ask her questions. Its so funny because we ask her random things and she will still say yes to everything.

We put this penguin costume on Lucy a couple weeks before Halloween. It ended up being to small so I dressed her in black and put a cat face on her. Cats are so easy to dress up as on Halloween its always the back up plan.

Here are our pumpkins we carved. Mine is the pirate ship and Tyler's is the face. Well I guess both of them are kind of mine because all Tyler carved was the left eye. He gets distracted very easily.

Tyler thinks that we should get our money back for our dog so he wants her to have puppies which means she has periods. I guess dogs are in heat for like 3 weeks. This is Sadie wearing one of Lucy's diapers.

It was a fun filled Saturday when Russ and Nancy(G&G Allred) invited us to go pick FRESH APPPLES!

After the long exhausting harvest of picking apples, we sat down to enjoy a real treat! We enjoyed some warm fresh apple crisp and then washed it down with some fresh apple cider.

Lucy and Mom enjoyed the apple crisp together!

Ever since Lucy was 2 months old she has slept through the night with an occasional waking at like 5:30 Id give her a bottle and she would go back to bed. All of a sudden the last two weeks she wakes up like every half hour and wont go back to bed shes not hungry shes not dirty. I give her Tylenol (just in case of teething) last night I gave her that gas stuff. Nothing works!!! She wants me to get up and play with her even though I'm half a sleep and so is she. She can barely keep her eyes open so I know shes tired. She barely eats! (well in comparison to how much she eat before). She just plays with her food! WHAT DO I DO!!??

Lucy had her one year doctors appointment on Tuesday. She is 28 and a half in. and weighs 22.13. She is in the 75% for height and the 80% for weight. So shes a little bigger than the average one year old but I'm sure she'll even out soon. She has crawling down to a science and she just started pulling her self up on things. She has only the beginnings of 2 teeth on the bottom. She still refuses to talk by clinching her mouth and grunting at me if she wants anything. We think that she could possibly be saying Sadie sometimes. But she refuses to do anything on command so its hard to tell if she is just babbling or if it is Sadie that she is saying. I wouldn't be surprised. We say Sadie all the time because she gets in trouble so much.
Lucy loves to climb into her big girl car seat and play around. I cant wait till she actually gets to use it in the car and gets to face the front she will love it!!

I was about to give Lucy a bath. I usually just carry her straight to the tub and put her in right away but I hadn't filled it up yet so I let her play on the ground in her room. I thought oh she wont go to the bathroom. But she did!!

I know I know!!! I need to blog more! I'm going to post pictures and tell you about them to get all caught up on the events. I got to baby sit Grant one of the days that his mommy was at girls camp. Lucy loved having him here. She especially loved taking his pacifier out of his mouth.

Sadie is getting bigger and getting her adult teeth. Thank goodness! Her baby teeth were so sharp.

They love each other! Sadie is so tolerant of Lucys hugging and petting(hitting).

We went to San Diego with Tyler's family. It was nice to get away from Bakersfield.

Lucy had her first bath with another baby. Me and Alison go walking every morning so Lucy and Patrick have become fast friends.

Camping!

We went camping for the Nichols family reunion this year. As long as I have a nice comfy place to sleep I love camping! We went out and bought a tent an air mattress,and borrowed the rest of the things we needed from my parents. We had a lot of fun at the beach and hanging out with all the family.

This is the air mattress we bought. If you ever need to buy an air mattress this is the one to buy! Every air mattress that Ive ever slept on ends up flat on the ground by the middle of the night. This one is amazing! It stays full of air for days and its nice to have something higher up in your tent.

We went up to Vegas with most of Tyler's family. We went to Lake Mead. It was pretty hot but as long as we stayed in the water we were fine. Me and Tyler went tubing. Tyler was jumping around with no hands while I was holding on for dear life. Back at the beach the kids used the tube for an island and we tried to get a picture.

We finally kind of got one.

Warren used the raft as a make out spot! He was a kissing machine!! SO CUTE!!!

I haven't blogged for a while so, I will put lots of pictures on and tell you about them. That's my favorite thing to look at on peoples blogs anyway so hopefully its yours too!
This picture was kind of old but its too cute. I walked into my room to find Sadie and saw her chewing up my blush. I was about to get mad when she looked at me with her little blush filled face. My friend Jennifer is always saying how she can never see her blush in pictures now this is proof that blush disappears in pictures. You can barely see it. It looked a lot darker in person.

We went to the Gwen Stefani concert a while ago. We didn't have very good seats. You would think that we would have had better seats seeing that we got them on the Ellen Degenerous show. But it was still fun.

There is more to come but Tyler needs the computer.

Two year anniversary!

I haven't blogged for a while because we don't have any batteries in our camera and we keep forgetting to buy them. So, I still don't have batteries but Ill tell you a little about whats been going on. 2 weeks ago I got the flu. Now, when I get the flu I think that I'm going to die (yes I know, drama queen!). I cant even imagine how Kyle (Tylers brother) got through being sick. He was on the river for three days in 115 degree weather with the flu the same time I was sick in bed thinking I was going to die. It was a 24hr thing thankfully but then Tyler got it a day later but worse. So we celebrated our 2nd year anniversary at home. Tyler spent most of the time in the bathroom and I spent most of the time freaking out and disinfecting anywhere that Tyler had sat. What a great anniversary!!!

This weekend we went to the Dodger game with Jennifer and Justin. We had so much fun!! On the way down Justin drove and Tyler sat in the front with his pink shirt so the whole time we made fun of them saying that they looked like boyfriends. We wanted to get there around 5:30 because there was a game before hand with semi-famous people. Anyway we hit traffic and while we were in traffic we ended up right next to this guy that had OCD with shaving. He wouldn't stop shaving. His face was bright red and he just kept on shaving. We made it past the OCD guy when we came to a car with very nice, if I might say so, Stilettos on the back of her car that she had forgotten about. Some one informed her of the shoes so as she was getting out to get them Tyler yelled out, "can I have your shoes" keep in mind the pink shirt and a boy in the seat next to him. She kind of looked at him and said no and got in the car. It was so funny.

So we Finally got to the game at about six. Tyler went down the first Isle so that he could see what was going on. I knew that that wasn't were our seats were so me and Jennifer stayed at the top of the isle. The all star team had just finished and all the Famous people were leaving the field and they came up the Isle that we were at. It was crazy to see these guys up close. Some of them were, James Denton (Desperate housewives), Michael Clarke Duncan (the big black guy from The Green Mile), James Van Der Beek (Dawsons Creek) Joel McHale (Talk Soup).

We sat down In our seats and the jumbo tron Camera came around and all the people around us were telling him to come video tape Lucy. So he did!! Here's Lucy on the big Jumbo Tron!

Tyler and Justin went up to the very top of the Stadium to go to the gift shop Tyler bought a Pink Dodger ball for Lucy.

When Tyler went to check out the Lady said you must like pink!!

Then to make the whole gay thing worse Tyler and Justin took a picture of them selves and a guy actually stopped them and said "that's the girlie way" and retook the picture for them.

They just had to put there arms around each other!! No they were doing it on purpose they played the whole gay thing up the whole time it was so funny!

Memorial Day Weekend

On Friday night Heidi, Nikki, and the boys came into town. Saturday morning we took Sadie to the vet for more shots. She is now 3lbs and had a little bit of Diaper rash. She lays in her pee and it irritates her stomach. The vet said that it is like diaper rash and that I should treat it just like I would a baby. So I put Balmex on her Stomach. After the vet we went to the lake with the Nichols.

Shrek 3

We took Lucy to the movies for the first time. We went to see Shrek 3. I was a little nervous and so were the people in front of us. I packed snacks and bottles just in case. The movie started and she was in aww. She just sat there and watched. She feel asleep for a half hour and woke up and watched some more with out a peep. After the movie was over the people in front of us said what a good baby she was. I said "I know!" I'm so Lucky to have such a good baby.

This was Lucy's first time on a park swing. She just kind of chilled.

Lucy Loves to take baths!! By the time we are done me and the whole bathroom are soaking wet. As she splashes and kicks she keeps her mouth open and her tongue out. I think she likes to taste the water.

So we are trying to get Lucy to say mama. She says it but I don't think that she gets what shes saying. Lucy loves her cousin Elyse!! I try so hard to get Lucy to Laugh and most of the time she just looks at me like I'm dumb. Lucy has to just see Elyse and she starts laughing. Not fair!! Last week me and Lucy went to watch Elyse at her dance class and then we were going to bring Elyse back to our house for some fun!! After dance class all the kids started coming out and going to their mothers right by us. As soon as Elyse came out Lucy stared screaming and flapping her arms. Its so funny how she recognizes her.

When Elyse came over we painted her nails. If you cant see it they are Green with pink poka dots or pota pots like Elyse says. And her toe nails are all different colors.

So this Is Patrick. He is my friend Alison's little boy. Believe it or not Patrick is a whole month older than Lucy. Lucy looks huge when she is with Patric. He is so tiny.

She loves to bounce in her bouncer but I have to put a bib on her because she forgets to swallow when shes bouncing so she drools even more. She was playing with her bib and put it in her mouth and kept it there as she bounced away.

Tyler put her in front of Sadie's gate and had her stand against it and he didn't quite have a hold of her and she fell and hit her head on the corner of the counter. Our first injury. So we gave her a bottle (that always makes her feel better as you can tell by her size) and put a ice pack on her head.

So I have been bugging Tyler to get me a puppy ever since we got married. Well he finally caved!!! Yea!! We got a little shih tzu-Maltese mix on Monday night. Tyler had found her in the classifieds and had called without me knowing. He finally surprised me with something. (I usually end up finding out what he is planning.) She is so cute and she is great with Lucy. When Lucy is playing on the ground Sadie will go lay next to her while Lucy bangs on her with a toy. (As you can see in the picture.)I'm trying to train her to go potty on a potty pad because she isn't aloud out side yet.

This week we basically just helped our friends Jennifer and Justin move in. Nothing to exciting. We went over to grandma and grandpa Nichols on Sunday for dinner and to celebrate Stacie and Kyles birthdays. Kyle wanted a Strawberry cake so I made one and it seems like everything went wrong with it. The batter tastes like medicine and when it cooks it kind of smells like throw up so our house smelled like throw up for a day. Then when I dumped the cake out the whole bottom came of it came off. Then I cut my finger on the frosting can. So it wasn't a great experience but in the end it turned out OK and it was fun to decorate.

Since Stephanie never dose her blog I figure I would post picures of her kids haha!!

Lucy is 19 pounds and 25 in. long. She is in the 50% for height and the 60% of weight. So she is just a little chunky. The Doctor said that its actually mostly muscle, and that she is very strong. She is!! If you try to take her bottle a way she'll make you work for it. I think that she might be getting a cold Because she is cranky (Its not like Lucy to fuss) and I have that feeling in the back of my throat that makes everything taste bad and all you want to eat is really crunchy things so that it scratches your throat (that feels so good). So chances are that she has it too.

So here is my first attempt at decorating a cake. Hopefully I will get better!

Its for my moms birthday on Sunday. Tyler tried to move it and ended up sticking his finger through the side of the cake so I had to cover it some how and I didn't have enough frosting left to right Happy Birthday.

I know its a little weird for a birthday cake but that's what we learned this week so I had to do it.

Today I took Lucy to get some pictures taken in her easter dress. I was a little nervous that she wouldn't do very well because it is so hard to get her to smile, and she hates laying on her stomach. However, she let all her frustrations out in a nice bowl movement right when it was our turn. She actually did really good! Now that Ive figured out how to do this whole blog thing I'll put the pictures on here as soon as I get them. There was another lady in front of us at Jcpennys with a 8 month old daughter, she said that she liked lucys head band and I told her that I make them. She asked me if I had a card. I said no that I really only make them to match her outfits. So it got me thinking... maybe that could be a new hobby that could make some money!

Tyler just started up school again on Tuesdays and Thursdays 3-10. The rest of the time he is at work with an occasional shopping spree at marshalls (of course). He now is starting to sell advertisments for a new publication that castle print took on. He sold his first add this week to family motors!! WOOHOO!! He loves to spend what little time he has with his girls.

Me and my friend Jennifer are taking cake decorating classes at Micheals every Monday. I want to make Lucy her cakes for her first birthday. I have already learned a lot and its so much fun! So if anyone needs a cake made just let me know! My sister is coming on 18th its going to be fun for Lucy to see her aunt melody.
